I had just gotten a new kitten as a birthday present, and I loved it more than any of the presents that I had gotten because I really loved cats, but the only issue was that I had no clue what to name it. - Lay the remnant piece of carpet on a hard flat surface and place the circular piece of damaged carpet in the middle. Use a sharp utility knife to cut out the new “carpet patch”. You will need to press down very firmly to get an even cut. (I recommend you use a new blade for every cut you make).
- Dip a small paintbrush carpet adhesive and carefully brush it onto the back of the new carpet patch. It’s very important that you don’t skimp on the adhesive when you patch damaged carpet! This will be what helps to hold the carpeting in place.
- Quickly press the carpet patch into place and allow it to sit undisturbed overnight
- Vacuum the entire area to help blend the carpet fibers together.
